The Mana FoundationSome of you may know that, for the past five years, I have been very involved with the Mana Foundation for at-risk youth outside of Medellin, Colombia. A few months ago I went down for a visit and shot some video which I just now managed to finish editing. Julia and MichaelI wrapped up this year's wedding season on a high note Saturday, photographing Julia and Michael's big day at the Intercontinental Harbor Court Hotel in downtown Balitimore. I don't think I've ever photographed a more lovely couple than Julia and Michael, very kind and genuine people --- and yet still party animals! A week with the militaryI spent much of this week around people much braver and with much better posture than me. On Saturday, I photographed D'Arcy and John's wedding at the Fort Myer Old Post Chapel with a reception at the Fort McNair Officer's Club. Both D'Arcy and John are in the military, as are most of their friends, D'Arcy's dad is a general, you get the picture. A few days later I found myself photographing young veterans parading through Manhattan while working for one of my favorite clients, the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. Needless to say, I feel very fortunate to have a job that let's me hang out with such a great group of people. Serious as the job of the military is though, these folks still know how to cut loose --- as evidenced in the photo studio video! Robbie and Magda Day 2: The Photo StudioThe day after Robbie and Madda's wedding in Tuscany, I set up a little photo-studio against the wall of the beautiful old villa where everyone was staying. Sometimes I took the photos, sometimes the wedding guests took the photos themselves using a cable release. As the day wore on, and the wine flowed, many beautiful images were made.
